JennAir JXU9136HP Under-Cabinet Repair

The JXU9136HP is the 36-inch version of the Pro Style low-profile hood: stainless steel, mounted under cabinetry and rated at 600 CFM. At this width it covers a wide cooktop or range, and the broader filter area collects plenty of grease between cleanings.
On service calls we remove the filters and look into the housing, since the wheel is the first place grease builds up. After that, the speed switch, the lamp sockets and the electrical connections are tested. If the hood sounds fine yet pulls poorly, we check the damper and the duct run above the cabinet. Since the housing is shallow, we also confirm that the filters are the right way up and fully seated, which affects both noise and how well grease is captured.
You get a written price before we start, and a 30-day workmanship warranty after we finish.
It gives us a benchmark of what the blower should deliver. If it feels well below that, we look for grease on the wheel, packed filters or a restricted duct.
A faint hum is normal, but a noticeable shake is not. It points to an unbalanced wheel or a loose mount, which we can usually correct during one visit.
Some escapes with any hood, especially from a pot on a front burner. If it seems worse than before, we test the blower and clean the filters to see if capture returns.
