Seen on JennAir built-in wall ovens like the JJW2427DS and JJW9830DDP, code 9d62 reports a possible problem with the oven door latch assembly, the door switch, or the wiring around them. The control does not get a clean door reading. Owners see the code on the screen, and the oven may not heat or may end a running cycle early.
1. Clear the display with Cancel. 2. Open and shut the door, checking the gasket for foil, spills or a stuck-on pan. 3. Keep children and pets away while the oven is cooling. 4. Flip the breaker off for one full minute, then back on, which clears a stuck door signal signal. 5. Run a short bake test. If 9d62 returns, stop and book a visit with us.
The control only trusts what the switch and latch report. A door can look shut yet fail to press a worn switch or complete the latch movement, so the oven treats it as open.
Not necessarily. The code is about the door circuit, and other parts may be fine. Still, the oven can stay off until the door signal is restored, so a proper check is the next step.
