On JennAir built-in wall ovens, including the JJW9830DDP and JJW2830DS, F2 E6 is displayed when there may be a problem with the user interface or keypad, the control, or the wiring around them. It follows the same family as the other F2 interface alerts. The display shows F2 E6, and the oven may ignore your settings. The keypad may seem dead, or only some pads may work.
1. Press Cancel and see whether the display clears. 2. Wipe the controls with a barely damp cloth, then dry them. 3. Turn the oven breaker off, count to sixty, and turn it on so the keypad circuit check starts fresh. 4. Restore power and try the clock. 5. Call us if F2 E6 is still on the display, and mention the keypad circuit.
JennAir lists it with the same interface or keypad description as the other F2 E codes. The final digit identifies which check the control made, which helps a technician.
Gentle presses are fine, but repeated hard pressing will not help. A persistent code needs a technician to test the interface. Only the stored full code, with both digits, lets us match it to a test.
We cannot name a price before testing, but we quote it in writing before any work and back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
