On JennAir built-in wall ovens such as the JJW2830DS and JJW9830DDP, F3 E4 usually appears when the meat probe or a power attachment has come out of its socket. Depending on the model, the oven sees the probe or attachment as dislocated while a cycle is running. You will see the code, and the cycle may pause or stop, even though the oven itself may be perfectly healthy.
1. Ask whether the probe or a power attachment was in use. 2. Let the oven cool, then push the probe plug fully into its receptacle; the socket location varies by model. 3. Seat any power attachment firmly according to the attachment's directions. 4. Restart the cycle. If F3 E4 still shows with nothing attached, call us.
The oven noticed that the probe or power attachment lost its connection. A loose plug, a nudge to the probe, or a worn socket is all it takes to trigger the notice.
Usually not. It is often a seating issue that you can fix by pressing the plug in fully. If it appears with nothing connected, the oven needs a closer look.
Try a different cooking mode to confirm the oven heats normally. If only the probe fails, the probe or its receptacle is probably worn, and we can quote a replacement in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
