JennAir built-in wall ovens, including the JJW2830LL and JJW8530DDS, show F6 E3 when there may be a problem with the appliance manager control, the converter control, or the wiring. JennAir adds that several different reasons may be behind it. You will see F6 E3 on the display, and the oven may stop working until the cause is found. Cooking functions may all stop together until the cause is found. You may see a dark display, an ignored key or a locked cycle.
1. Press Cancel once. 2. Go to the electrical panel, switch the oven circuit off for a minute, and switch it on to retry the appliance manager. 3. Restore power and watch whether the display stays steady. 4. Run a short test bake. 5. If F6 E3 returns, stop and call us. 6. Write down any other codes you saw so we can read the pattern.
The appliance manager and converter control both connect to many other oven parts. A problem at either one, or in the wiring, can set the code.
It depends on the part. We test first and quote the price in writing before ordering, and our work is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
We do not recommend it. If a reset clears the code only briefly, the oven can fail at any time during a meal. Typical control repairs take one visit if the board is on hand for your model.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
