On JennAir induction cooktops such as the JIC4536KS, F0E1 points first to the cookware. Only pots and pans made from ferromagnetic material work: enameled steel, cast iron, or stainless steel designed for induction. A magnet can show whether a pan is suitable. The quality and structure of the pan base also change cooking performance, and a poor match shows F0E1.
1. Turn the zone off. 2. Hold a magnet to the pan bottom. If it does not stick firmly, use a different pan. 3. Choose cast iron, enameled steel or induction-rated stainless. 4. Center the pan on the zone. 5. Try again. If F0E1 shows with a suitable pan, call us.
Enameled steel, cast iron and stainless steel designed for induction. If a magnet clings firmly to the pan base, the pan is likely suitable. Magnet pans are a good sign.
Yes. The structure of the base can change how well the zone heats. A thin or warped base may heat poorly or bring on the message.
Then try centering it, or a different suitable pan. If F0E1 stays on, call us. We inspect the cooktop and quote in writing first. Avoid aluminum or glass.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
