On JennAir wall ovens, among them the JJW2830DS and JJW9830DDP, 3d11 tells you there may be a problem with the oven temperature sensor, the control, or their wiring. The 3d group covers a second set of sensing checks beside the 1d group. The display shows 3d11 and heating may stop or stay inaccurate. The same code is listed for combination ovens with a microwave section.
1. Press Cancel and wait for the cavity to cool. 2. Check that nothing blocks the probe at the back of the oven. 3. Turn the breaker off for two minutes, then on again. 4. If 3d11 appears again, stop baking and call us.
The control runs several checks on its temperature reading, and each has its own label. They all lead to the same parts, so the repair path is similar.
Possibly, but the broiler also relies on the control. If the oven is showing a sensing code, we advise not using any high-heat mode. The broiler element runs at full power, which makes an unreliable sensor riskier there.
Not for the code itself. Racks can be removed to clear the area around the probe, which is a harmless check you can do while the oven is cool.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
