Wide enough for a 36-inch range or cooktop, the JXW8536DS is a pyramid-style wall canopy. Visitors see the smooth outer shape, but the work is done by the blower, filters and damper hidden behind it.
In our experience, the first sign of age is a change in sound, followed by thinner airflow. We check the filters and wheel, run every speed and test the lamp sockets and switch. We look at the damper and duct as well, because a partly closed flap makes a healthy blower feel tired.
