JennAir JGC3115GS Wok Gas Cooktop 15-Inch Repair

A 15-inch cooktop with a single gas burner and a wok ring, the JGC3115GS is usually installed beside another cooktop section or an electric module in a combination run. It gets used as a dedicated high-heat spot for stir-fry, so the burner sees more grease and sugar than most.
A single burner means the whole cooktop depends on one igniter and one valve. When it quits, we clean the burner thoroughly, dry the igniter, and test the spark. If lighting still hesitates, the spark module or the valve is the next check. We also look at the wok ring seat so pans sit stable.
Gas smell means you should leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. You get the price in writing before we start, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
It can feel that way, since you lose the whole cooktop. The causes are the same as on larger units: dirty ports, a weak igniter, a spark module. A short visit usually sorts it out.
You can, but lift it for cleaning. Grease baked under it makes the flame uneven. Let everything cool first, then wash the ring and the burner parts and dry them before use.
At low flow, a small obstruction or partly clogged port matters most. We clean the ports, check the cap and test the valve to see how it behaves across the whole range.
