JennAir JIC4530K 30-Inch Lustre Induction Cooktop with Five Zones

Five induction zones on a 30-inch Lustre surface make the JIC4530K a versatile cooktop in black with stainless trim, also sold as the JIC4530KB and JIC4530KS. It belongs to the Oblivion / Lustre family and is usually installed over a base cabinet or drawers that need adequate ventilation below.
With five zones, we test each one in turn with a magnetic pan, since a problem rarely affects every zone equally. A zone that goes off in the middle of cooking can be reacting to heat; a zone that never starts may have a failed coil or sensor. Fan and airflow are always checked.
Our price is quoted in writing before we begin, and we back our work with a 30-day workmanship warranty. Before we leave, we run each of the five zones once more so you can see the cooktop heat normally.
Heat protection is the usual reason. A blocked fan, dust or a failing sensor can trigger it. We test the zone under load and check airflow.
Keep the space under the cooktop clear enough for air movement. Packed drawers can restrict cooling and make the cooktop shut off sooner. Even a few inches of clear space helps.
Some buzzing is normal, especially at high power with certain cookware. A loud or changing noise may point to the fan or a loose part, which we can check.
