JennAir JOEDC330R Double Oven Service

The JOEDC330R is a RISE 30-inch double wall oven with MultiMode true convection, sold as well as the JOEDC330RL and JOEDC330RM. It slots into a standard 30-inch tower, usually with the upper oven at eye level.
True convection spreads heat over multiple racks, so owners often bake several trays at once. Heavy loads like that push the fan motor hard, and that is when a worn bearing gives itself away with a grinding sound. A loose door, a slow preheat and a hot smell are the three early warnings we ask owners to mention when they call.
We look at the fan first when the complaint is noise, and at the sensor and element when it is temperature. Our price is written before work starts, and each repair is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Usually a sensor reading low, which keeps the bake element on too long. We check the probe against a thermometer and replace it if the offset is large.
The sound changes when convection starts and stops. We confirm by running the fan alone, then cleaning the blades and checking the motor before suggesting a replacement.
It is a normal wear item. The lock motor or switch can be replaced without touching other parts, and we free the door safely before testing the latch.
