JennAir wall ovens like the JJW9830DDP and JJW8530DDS display 9d32 when there may be a problem with the oven door latch assembly, the door switch, or the wiring. The control wants to see a clear closed and locked signal and is not getting it. The screen shows 9d32, and the oven may refuse to begin. The oven may seem to accept Start and then immediately cancel.
1. Cancel the cycle and give the oven a minute. 2. Close the door firmly and watch whether the display changes. 3. Turn off the oven breaker for two minutes, then restore power. 4. If 9d32 appears yet again, stop and phone us.
Worn switches and loose wires often work sometimes and fail at others. The control only posts the code when it catches a bad signal. That is why we may need to watch the oven through a few door cycles.
If a clean cycle ended abnormally, the latch may stay locked. Wait for the oven to cool, reset the power, and call us if it does not release.
Only the part that fails testing, which is the latch assembly, the switch or a short run of wiring. You keep the rest of the oven as it is, and the repair is limited to the failed part.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
