On JennAir built-in wall ovens such as the JJW2830LL and JJW2427DS, 9d41 reports a possible problem with the oven door latch assembly, the door switch, or the wiring. This code carries the same official meaning as the other 9d entries. The display shows 9d41, and the oven may stay off. Some owners hear a faint click from the door area when they press Start.
1. Press Cancel and open the door all the way. 2. Look for anything lodged at the latch opening. 3. Close the door and reset the breaker for two minutes. 4. If 9d41 comes back, call us and keep the oven off.
On many models the latch sits at the top of the door opening, but it is not safe to poke around. Look only, and do not touch.
Please do not try. The control needs the signal from the switch and latch, and holding the door will not provide it. Pressing the door will not substitute for the latch signal the control looks for.
If the oven is your main cooking tool, call soon. The code does not clear without repair. Stovetop cooking is not affected, so you can wait a day or two for a visit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
