On JennAir electric radiant and touch-control cooktops, F0 or F00 appears when something is pressing on the touch panel. The guidance is to remove any object left on the control area and wipe away debris. A pot lid, a damp cloth, spilled liquid or baked-on soil can all put pressure on the glass. The control stops accepting commands until the pressure is gone.
1. Turn the cooktop off at the controls. 2. Take everything off the control area, including pans and cloths. 3. Wipe the glass with a soft damp cloth and dry it with a microfiber towel. 4. Wait a minute, then touch ON/OFF again. 5. If F0 or F00 returns on a spotless, empty panel, stop and book a visit.
It means the touch panel senses pressure. An object, liquid or soil is pushing on the control area. Remove it and clean the glass to clear the code.
Often it does. Soap and water with a microfiber towel removes film that can imitate a key press. Dry the glass completely before you touch the controls.
Then the control may be sensing a press that is not there. Call us and we will inspect the touch panel, with the price given in writing before we start.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
