JennAir dishwashers on the current platform, for example the JDTSS246GL and JDPSG244PS, show FAE4 or F10E4 for the same issue: a diverter valve error. The diverter sends water to different wash zones, and the control reports it is not responding as expected. Cycles may run poorly or stop. The first step is to cycle the power and run a short cycle.
1. Press Cancel and open the door. 2. Check that the spray arms spin freely and nothing is stuck in them. 3. With the breaker off for a minute, the control restarts fresh once it is on again. 4. Run a short cycle. If FAE4 or F10E4 appears again, stop and call us.
Different display versions show the same diverter valve error as FAE4 or F10E4. Both mean the same, so the steps are the same. Both appear on different display versions, and the troubleshooting is the same.
It sends water to the upper or lower spray arms and other wash zones. If it sticks, one area gets too much and another too little.
Not reliably. A stuck diverter can leave some racks dirty. We repair it after a written quote, and the work is covered for 30 days.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
