JennAir built-in microwave and combination oven cavities, including the JMC2430LL, show F6 E2 when there may be a problem with the Main Oven Temperature Sensor, the Oven Appliance Manager, or the associated wiring. The oven section cannot confirm its own temperature or its control status. Owners see the code, and baking or warming functions may stop working. New cooking commands may be ignored.
1. Cancel the cycle and allow the cavity to cool with the door open. 2. Switch the circuit breaker off for one minute, then back on. 3. Try a short warm-up. 4. If F6 E2 remains, switch the unit off at the breaker and call us. Do not unscrew trim or reach toward the back wall.
It affects the oven section's ability to regulate heat, so avoid using the oven until it is checked. Nothing is dangerous when the unit is off.
Both name the same parts. The suffix is a clue for the technician, but at home the response is the same: reset once, then call if the code returns.
Only if testing shows it is the cause. We quote everything in writing first and back the work with a 30-day workmanship warranty. That way the cost never changes after you have agreed to it.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
