On JennAir built-in wall ovens in the JJW and JMW lines, including the JJW2830DS and JJW8530DDS, the words Call Service appear when the control has detected an error it cannot sort out alone. The normal first step is to press Cancel to reset it. If the words come back after Cancel, power to the oven should be cut and restored.
1. Press the Cancel pad once and watch the display. 2. Shut off the circuit breaker for a minute, then reconnect power and see if the Call Service message check passes. 3. Restore power and let the clock start up before touching anything. 4. Try a short bake or a simple setting. 5. A repeat of Call Service means the Call Service message needs a visit from us.
Press Cancel to reset. If the message returns after that, turn off the circuit breaker for a minute and turn it back on. That clears most one-off events.
This message is a catch-all for an error the control detected. A technician can read the stored information and narrow it down to a door, sensor, fan or control cause.
We quote in writing before any repair work, and the work is covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty. Diagnosis first, then you decide. There is no hidden diagnostic fee beyond what we state in the written quote.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
