JennAir built-in wall ovens like the JJW2830LL and JJW8530DDS show F5 E0 when there may be a problem with the Door Latch Assembly, the Door Switch, or the wiring. The oven compares the door switch with the latch switch, and here the two do not agree. You may see the code, find the door locked or unlocked unexpectedly, or notice that cooking and self-clean will not begin.
1. Make sure nothing is blocking the door, such as a towel or a pan handle. 2. Close the door fully and press Cancel. 3. Shut the breaker off for one minute and restore power. 4. Try a basic bake. If F5 E0 returns, do not force the door or the latch; call us.
The oven reads two signals from the door area, and they must match. When the door switch and the latch switch disagree, the control raises F5 E0 even though the door looks shut.
We advise against it. If the control cannot confirm the door state, it may refuse to heat, and cycles that rely on a lock, like self-clean, should not run.
