JennAir JMC8130DDS Floating Glass Microwave Repair

The JMC8130DDS is a discontinued 30-inch built-in microwave with a floating glass front, 1.5 cu. ft. of space and 1000 watts. Its scrolling display, auto sensor cooking and two-stage memory made it a feature-heavy model when new, and many are still in service in Houston kitchens.
Years of opening and closing show first on the glass door hardware, so we inspect the hinge, the latch and the door switches before anything else. After that we test heating, the turntable motor and the keypad, including the custom programs pad. Because the model is no longer made, we check parts availability and give you the price in writing before we order. The floating glass front looks sleek, but it is also fragile, so we handle it with care and cover it while the oven is open.
Repairs are covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
Often we can find latches, switches, motors and similar parts, though stock varies. We check availability first and give you the price and timing before we order anything.
It reads steam released by the food, so the vent and the sensor path must be clean. If the oven stops early or runs too long, we clean the cavity and test the sensor.
Check whether the control lock is on and hold the proper pad. If that does not clear it, unplug the unit briefly and try again. Persistent lockouts point to the keypad or board, which we test.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
