JennAir JMC3215BS Convection Microwave Service

The JMC3215BS is a microwave with convection that can be built in or set on a countertop, so we first confirm how yours is installed. A built-in setup needs clearance for airflow, and the convection side makes that clearance matter more than it does for a plain microwave.
For service we check the door latch and switches, then test the microwave heating and the convection fan and element separately, since either can fail alone. The turntable motor and controls come last. If it is on a counter, we also check that the cord and outlet are not strained. Because the width is not known, we measure the cutout or counter space before recommending trim parts.
Our price is always written before work begins, and each repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
The convection fan or element, or the thermal protector, may have failed. These run separately from the microwave, so we test them with a meter and quote that repair on its own.
Yes. Whether it is built in or on the counter, it needs airflow around the vents. Blocked vents make the convection side overheat and shut down.
Yes, but the cavity and the door get hot. Let it cool before wiping it, and clean spills quickly. Baked-on food near the vents can cause smoke on the next run.
