JennAir Undercounter Wine Cellar Over Temp: Zone Above Preset for 10 Minutes

What Over Temp means

On JennAir undercounter wine cellars such as the JUWFR and JUWFL series, Over Temp is an audible and visual alert. It sounds when the temperature in either zone rises above its preset range for 10 minutes. The sound stops on its own when the temperature returns to normal, but the indicator light keeps flashing until the Reset Alarm touchpad is pressed, so you know it happened.

Common causes of Over Temp

The door was left open or is not sealing
A large load of warm bottles went in at once
Poor airflow around the cellar, with the vents blocked
A cooling or sensor problem if the temperature never returns to normal

✓ One safe check you can try

1. Check that the door is fully closed and the gasket lies flat. 2. Make sure nothing blocks the front vents or the space around the cellar. 3. Give the zone time to come back into range, and the sound will stop on its own. 4. Press the Reset Alarm touchpad to clear the flashing indicator once the temperature is normal.
