On the JennAir Flush Mount dishwasher for European cabinets, model JDB9600AW, E:26 refers to the water switch. The switch is either permanently activated, or no impulses come from it even when it should be working. The control cannot count water properly, so it shows E:26. Owners may notice incomplete filling, wrong water levels or the cycle stopping early. Dishes may come out poorly rinsed because the water amount is not tracked correctly.
1. Check the water supply valve under the sink is fully open. 2. Make sure the fill hose is not kinked. 3. Turn the dishwasher off at the breaker for a minute, then restart a short cycle. 4. Watch whether the tub fills. 5. If E:26 reappears, stop and call us.
It is a sensing device that counts or detects water coming into the tub. The control uses it to decide how much water the cycle gets. If it sends nothing or a constant signal, E:26 appears.
It can reduce the impulses the switch sends. Open the supply valve fully and check the hose. If pressure is normal and E:26 returns, the switch is the likelier cause.
If the switch sticks on, the control may not stop filling properly. Watch the first minutes of a cycle, and if water rises too high, shut off the valve and call us.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
