E:11 on a JennAir flush-mount dishwasher made for European cabinets, such as the JDB9600AW, tells you the temperature sensor (an NTC) is reading outside its allowed resistance range, or its wire or plug has an interruption. Without a reliable water temperature the machine runs without its heater. You will see a finished program with cool, damp dishes and E:11 on the display.
1. Reset the power by leaving the breaker off for a full minute. 2. Run a short program with an empty tub and watch whether E:11 comes back. 3. Make sure nothing, such as a loose rack part, is hanging against the tub bottom. 4. If the code returns, do not keep running programs. Call us and we will test the sensor.
It is the temperature sensor whose resistance changes with water temperature. The control reads that resistance. If the value is outside what the machine expects, it switches the heater off and reports E:11.
The machine treats a missing temperature signal as a reason to skip the heater. Filling, washing and draining usually still work, which is why the cycle appears normal apart from cool dishes.
The sensor is usually a small part. What costs time is reaching it and testing the wire and plug. We give a fixed written price before starting and cover the work for 30 days.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
