On JennAir dishwashers such as the JDAF3924RX or JDB9200CWX, FAE5 or F10E5 means a diverter leak. The control suspects water is escaping around the diverter. The official steps are to check for leaks under the dishwasher, make sure all water connections are secure, press Cancel twice, and try to start a new cycle. If the code returns, schedule service. Water on the floor is a common sign.
1. Turn off the water supply tap. 2. Look under and in front of the dishwasher for water. Mop up any you find. 3. Check that the water connections are tight, without forcing them. 4. Press Cancel twice, then try a new cycle. 5. If the code returns, stop and call us.
Two presses end the current cycle and clear the message, so you can see whether a fresh cycle starts normally. Cancel is a safe button to use here, but do not keep pressing it.
It can be, because water is leaving its normal path. We recommend stopping use until the leak is traced, since a slow drip can ruin a cabinet floor over a few weeks.
A small leak may only show while the machine runs. Dry the area, watch it during a short cycle, and book a visit if the code returns or you spot any damp.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
