On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges with electronic control, like the JES1750FS or JIS1450DS, Demo Mode means the control is in demonstration mode. It is meant for showroom floors on a 120 V connection, and it lets the control features be shown without the oven turning on. While it is active, the oven will not work. You will see the display respond but nothing heats.
1. Do not expect heat while the message is shown. 2. Check the owner's guide or control guide for your model for the steps to leave demonstration mode. 3. Turn the range off at the breaker for one minute and back on. 4. Try a short Bake. 5. If the oven still does not heat, call us.
If the display says Demo Mode, the control is in its showroom setting and keeps the oven from turning on. Once it is turned off per your guide, the oven can heat.
No. It is a feature, not a problem with the range. The oven stays off by design until the mode is turned off, and nothing needs to be replaced.
Yes. If you cannot find the steps for your model, call us. We can switch it off, test the oven, and give you a price in writing if anything else is wrong.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
