On JennAir ranges with electronic oven control, such as the JES1750FS or JIS1450DS, a flashing indicator on a smoothtop cooktop means one or more keys are being held down. Make sure the cooktop controls are off, remove objects on the control area, and wipe debris from the panel. On an induction cooktop, a flashing indicator may occur when the controls are not set correctly.
1. Turn all cooktop controls off. 2. Remove anything resting on the control area, such as pans, towels or utensils. 3. Wipe the touch control panel thoroughly with a soft, damp cloth, then dry it. 4. Set the controls again carefully; if the indicator keeps flashing, call us.
One or more keys are permanently pressed. Clear the control area and clean the panel so nothing keeps a key pressed down, then try again.
An indicator light may flash when the controls are not set correctly. Turn them off and set them again step by step, following your owner's manual.
A key may be sticking electronically. Call us and we will test the panel, explain the finding and quote the price in writing before we do anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
