On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges such as the JES1750FS and JDS1750ML, F2 E1 first asks whether the grates are installed correctly and level. If a grate wobbles when you rock it corner to corner, it may be on backwards and should be swapped. After that, cycle power to reset. If the code remains, the user interface or keypad, the control, or the wiring may be the cause. On RISE and NOIR pro-style ranges F2E1 means a button is stuck or held too long.
1. Turn off all burners and wait until the grates are cool. 2. Lift each grate off and set it down again, rocking it corner to corner and side to side. 3. If one wobbles, swap the grates. 4. Cycle power at the breaker for a minute. 5. On a pro-style range, check no knob or button is held down. If the code stays, call us.
The range asks whether they are seated right and level. A wobbling grate may be installed backwards, so rock each one corner to corner and side to side, and swap them if one wobbles.
On RISE and NOIR pro-style ranges F2E1 points at a button that is stuck or held too long. Release every knob and button, then reset power. Hands off all controls, then switch the breaker off for a minute.
Not if the code clears after you reseat the grates and cycle power at the breaker. If F2 E1 returns, the keypad, the control or the wiring needs testing, and on pro-style ranges check again for a held button.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
