A JennAir wall oven such as the JJW2830DS or JJW9830DDP that shows 1c6c has detected a possible problem with the oven control or its wiring. The code comes from the control family, so the cooking parts may be fine while the board that commands them is not. The display shows 1c6c, and the oven can stop partway through a cycle.
1. Turn the cycle off with Cancel. 2. Let the oven rest for several minutes. 3. Switch the oven breaker off for two minutes and restore it. 4. Run a short test bake. If 1c6c shows again, call us. Skip the self-clean until the code is gone.
When the control senses its own problem, it may shut the cycle down to protect the oven. That is why food may stop cooking even though you did not touch the oven.
Usually it is more than the clock. The oven control runs heating and timing, so any cooking function can be blocked while the code is active.
If the oven reset cleanly, you may use it carefully. But a control that already reported once can do it again, so we suggest booking soon.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
