JennAir wall ovens such as the JJW2830LL display F2 E3 when the control may have a problem with the user interface or keypad, or with the wiring between them. It is a sibling of F2 E2 with its own number. You see F2 E3 on the screen, and the touch controls may be slow, erratic or silent. Presses may register late, twice, or not at all.
1. Clear moisture or grease from the control area. 2. Press Cancel and try a single key. 3. Leave the breaker off for a minute, then turn the oven on and watch the keypad link result. 4. Test again with a simple timer. 5. Should F2 E3 return, leave the oven off and tell us it is the keypad link.
The control is not getting a good reading from the keypad. That can be a worn keypad, a loose connection or the board itself. It points to a communication break between the touch surface and the control board.
Liquids that run under the control surface can upset a keypad. If you used a spray, let the oven dry and then reset. If the code stays, a technician should check.
We test the interface, the wiring and the control, explain the finding and give you a written price. Our 30-day workmanship warranty applies to the work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
