JennAir combination wall ovens with a microwave show F6 E8 when there may be a problem with the microwave appliance manager control or the wiring. On the older JMW2430D series it means communication with the microwave oven appliance manager was lost, with the manager and the user interface in question. The microwave stops and the display holds the code. The microwave may refuse to start, and keys on that side may not respond.
1. Press Cancel and try a microwave key. 2. Turn the oven breaker off, count to sixty, and turn it on so the manager link check starts fresh. 3. Run a short water test if the keys respond. 4. Do not remove any trim. 5. If F6 E8 will not stay cleared, contact us for a diagnosis of the manager link.
The microwave manager and the main control are no longer exchanging information. The cause can be a board, the interface or the wiring between them.
A brief interruption can interrupt communication, so one reset is worth trying. If the code stays, the link needs a technician. One breaker reset costs nothing and is safe to try before you call.
