On JennAir microwave and wall-oven combinations of the JMW2430D generation, the F6E0 message can appear when you start a cycle. It relates to the oven's user interface, which is the touch display, losing communication with the rest of the control. The screen shows F6E0, and the cycle you asked for may not begin. Nothing about it points to a spill or to the door, so it is treated as a control and communication issue.
1. Press Cancel and wait a minute. 2. Open and close the door once, then try starting the cycle again. 3. Turn the breaker off for two minutes and restore power. 4. If F6E0 shows each time you press Start, stop and call us.
The control checks the display link when a cycle begins. If the link has dropped, the check fails at that moment, so the message may seem to appear only when you try to cook.
On a combination unit the display handles both functions, so a lost link can block either. We would test the display communication before judging any heating part.
A reset helps if the link dropped once. If the message returns on the next start, the display, the control or the wiring between them needs testing by a technician.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
