On JennAir built-in wall ovens such as the JJW2830DS and JJW8530DDS, a flashing Time, Clock, 12:00, POWER LOSS or Enter Time on the display is not an error. It appears when power is first supplied to the oven, or after any power interruption or failure. The instruction is to press Cancel to clear the display and then set the time of day. The same message is listed on combination ovens with a built-in microwave.
1. Press Cancel to clear the flashing display. 2. Press the clock or time pad and enter the time of day. 3. Confirm the display stops flashing. 4. If it flashes again soon without any outage, check whether another appliance on the same breaker is tripping it. A repeat call us.
The clock resets and any running cycle ends, so you will need to set the time and start your cycle again. Press Cancel first to clear the flashing display.
If the power was interrupted again, the oven restarts at 12:00. Frequent flashing without any outage may mean the breaker or the supply is unstable and worth having checked.
Not by itself. It is the normal power-up message, but if it keeps repeating without an outage, a visit is worthwhile so we can look at the control and the supply.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
