On JennAir built-in wall ovens such as the JJW2830DS and JJW2427DS, PUSH or PSH is a prompt, not an error. It means you have chosen an oven function but not pressed Start. The Start pad begins any oven function, and if it is not pressed within five seconds, PUSH or PSH appears. If Start is not pressed within one minute, the function is canceled and the time of day returns. The same prompt exists on combination ovens with a microwave.
1. Choose your function and temperature again. 2. Press Start within five seconds. 3. Confirm the oven begins heating. 4. If Start does nothing after repeated tries, clean the pad gently and reset power at the breaker for one minute. A pad that stays dead needs a technician.
No. It is a reminder that you chose a function but have not pressed Start. The prompt appears after five seconds, and pressing Start begins the function.
After about one minute without Start, the oven cancels the function and shows the time of day again. You then choose the function once more and press Start.
Clean the pad with a barely damp cloth, reset power at the breaker for a minute, and try again. If Start still does nothing, we test the keypad.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
