JennAir JMV Message dOn or dOff: demo mode changed

What Demo Mode means

On JennAir over-the-range microwave hoods such as the JMV9196CS and JMV8000 series, dOn or dOff shows when demo mode was just turned on or off. Demo mode lets the display work without heating, as in a showroom. To turn it on, open the door, hold the number 3 key for five seconds until the d icon lights, then press Start within five seconds. The display then shows dOn.

1. Check whether the microwave is cooking or only showing the display; demo mode does not heat. 2. Open the door. 3. Press and hold the number 3 key for five seconds. 4. Press Start within five seconds to change the mode. 5. Test with a cup of water; if it does not warm, call us.

Demo mode is a setting, so nothing needs repair.
If the unit still will not heat after demo is off, the heating system needs inspection.
