What F2 E0 means

On JennAir built-in microwaves, microwave drawers and combination wall oven microwave sections, such as the JMC2430LL or JMC8130DDS, F2 E0 means there may be a problem with the user interface or keypad, the control, or the associated wiring. Owners see F2 E0 and keys may stop responding, or the display may act oddly. The microwave may beep, ignore presses, or refuse to begin the cycle you set.

What causes F2 E0 to appear?
