West U households call us for JennAir wall ovens, steam ovens, column refrigerators, wine units, cooktops and dishwashers. Reach us by phone or web form, and your visit is assigned a three-hour arrival window.

Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach JennAir diagnostics here.
Ben Hooper platted the first lots in 1917, and incorporation followed in 1924. After development rules loosened in the early 1990s, around half the houses were torn down and replaced during the fifteen years that ended in 2002.
Old bungalows now sit next to oversized new homes, and the new kitchens favor paneled refrigeration plus wall and steam ovens. Trim must come off before we can get at anything behind those fronts.
The city operates its own water system, pumping from wells roughly 560 feet deep in the Evangeline Aquifer. About half of what comes out of the tap is treated surface water purchased from Houston.
Since the mix of sources can change the minerals in the water, filters and inlet screens get our attention first on a JennAir ice maker or dishwasher. Internal parts come later.
Poor Farm Ditch moves a big share of local runoff to Brays Bayou, and it has put water on West U streets for a hundred years. During Harvey, 116 homes in the city took on water, and the county has begun deepening and widening the channel.
A wine column or undercounter unit in a low utility room deserves an inspection after any flood before it is powered up. We examine the base, wiring and drain pan, and we say so frankly if replacement is the sounder move.
Newer West U houses often combine paneled refrigerators and dishwashers with wall and steam ovens, and a second washer and dryer sits on the upper floor. Every one of those requires trim removal before service.
Cabinet-front panels weigh a lot, and some were mounted with hardly any clearance. We take them off and rehang them with care, and we warn you if a door was set too snug to seal.
Our visits to West U start from the inner-Loop routes and cover the blocks bounded by Kirby, Bellaire Boulevard, Buffalo Speedway and Rice Village. Contractor trucks line the narrow streets on weekdays, so a clear driveway helps when we carry in a ladder or a pump. If the builder’s appliance paperwork is still in a kitchen drawer, set it aside, because coverage may not have run out.
With panel-ready units, the hard part is the cabinet front, which adds weight and shrinks the working space. A door that stops closing evenly often traces to hinges or a unit that has drifted rather than a failed part. Call an electrician for a dead outlet or a plumber for a gas smell before we take anything apart.

Yes. We protect the finish, loosen the mounting and reset the hinge gap, and we note any stripped screws left from installation. Once the panel is rehung we confirm it closes evenly.
If a builder or maker warranty is still in force, start there, since it may cover the repair. Once it has lapsed we are glad to quote the job, with the price on paper before we begin.
It sits near our inner-Loop routes, so a slot today or tomorrow is usually open. Our work comes with a 30-day warranty.
