What INSERT BREWING UNIT means

INSERT BREWING UNIT on JennAir RISE and NOIR built-in coffee systems, such as the JJB6424, means the brewing unit was not replaced after cleaning. The system cannot make coffee without it. Switch the system off properly with the On/Standby button, wait for the shutdown, then open the service door on the front and reinsert the unit. The message clears once the unit is seated.

Why is the brewing unit removable?

It is taken out for cleaning. After cleaning, it must be reinserted before the system can brew any drink. Push gently until it seats. Seat it gently.

Do I need to turn the system off first?

Yes. Press On/Standby and wait for the shutdown to finish before opening the door, so nothing is running while you reach inside. Check that nothing is blocking it.
