On JennAir dishwashers such as the JDTSS246GL and JDPSG244PS, a flashing Clean light usually means an error code is being sent. The dishwasher uses a two-part flashing sequence. Look for a distinct pause of about one to two seconds. Count the first set of rapid flashes, which is the F number, then count the second set after the pause, which is the E number. For example, one flash, pause, two flashes is F1E2.
1. Watch the Clean light for a full sequence and count the first group of flashes (F), then the second group after the pause (E). 2. Write the two numbers down, such as F9E1. 3. Let the circuit sit off at the breaker for about a minute before powering up. 4. Look up the matching code on our site, or call us with the two numbers.
Wait for the pause. The flashes before it are the F number, and the flashes after it are the E number. Count a couple of full sequences to be sure.
Usually, yes. It can also be another status message on some models, so count the pattern and read the display if there is one. Counting the sequence twice avoids a wrong guess.
Give us the two numbers, such as F8E2, and the model. We can then tell you what the code points to and quote any repair in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
