The JennAir Flush Mount dishwasher for European cabinets, model JDB9600AW, shows E:25 as a drain pump error at the end of the program. Two causes are named: the drain pump is blocked, or the drain pump cover is missing from the pump sump. Owners find water still standing in the tub, with dirty dishes and a lingering smell, after the cycle finishes.
1. Switch the dishwasher off at the breaker. 2. Remove the bottom rack, then lift out the filter and rinse it under the tap. 3. Look into the sump for glass, bones or labels and remove what you can reach by hand. 4. Check the drain hose behind the unit for a kink without pulling hard. 5. Restart; call us if E:25 returns.
It sits over the pump in the sump at the bottom of the tub. If the filter was left out for a while, the cover can be knocked loose. Tell us if you find loose plastic pieces.
Water may not leave the tub, so running it again can overfill it and soak the dishes in dirty water. Clear the blockage or have us look at it first, and bail out standing water before restarting.
E:25 is about a physical blockage or missing cover, while E:23 is about wrong electrical resistance of the pump. The tub looks similar, but the repair differs.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
