Several JennAir dishwashers on the current platform, for example the JDTSS247HS and the JDAF3924RX, display F1E2 when the main control reports a communication error. Parts of the control are not talking to each other the way they should. The cycle stops or will not begin. The first step is to cycle power, which clears a temporary loss of contact. Nothing in the tub itself is the cause.
1. Open and shut the door, then press Cancel. 2. Restart the appliance's power by tripping the breaker off for sixty seconds. 3. Try a short cycle. 4. If F1E2 reappears, stop and schedule service. Do not remove the lower kick panel or pull any connectors.
The main control and another board in the dishwasher exchange signals. F1E2 says that exchange stopped. A power cycle restarts both, which can fix a brief interruption.
They share wording about main control communication but are different codes with different prefixes. We read which one your machine shows and test the relevant link.
Unfinished dishes can be rerun after the repair. If you find water in the tub, run Drain if available or call us. Quotes are always in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
