On JennAir countertop and built-in-trim countertop microwaves such as the JMC1116AS, a flashing 0:00 means there has been a power failure. It also appears whenever the product is plugged in, or when power returns after an outage. It is not an error. Reset the clock, and the display goes back to normal. The microwave itself should work again as soon as the time has been set.
1. Make sure the microwave is on standby. 2. Press the Timer/Clock button for three seconds to enter the clock setting. 3. Use the plus and minus buttons to set the time. 4. Confirm with the same button. If 0:00 keeps coming back, call us.
The microwave lost power or was just plugged in, so the clock restarted. Set the time and it stops flashing. No tools are needed for this.
It should stay set until the next power loss. If it keeps resetting, the outlet or cord may be loose. Check that the plug is seated well.
It is a normal message. If it repeats, we can inspect the outlet, cord, and control and quote any work in writing. Please do not open the case.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
