On JennAir built-in wall ovens such as the JJW2830LL, FC E3 is another Wi-Fi alert: the appliance could not connect to the router. The reason may be a connection timeout, a weak signal, a failed router, the Wi-Fi module in the oven, or the wiring. The oven shows FC E3, and everyday cooking is normally not affected. Only connected features are affected.
1. Confirm your internet is working on a phone or tablet. 2. Go to the electrical panel, switch the oven circuit off for a minute, and switch it on to retry the Wi-Fi timeout. 3. Turn it back on and keep an eye on the display for sixty seconds. 4. Try connecting the oven again from its Wi-Fi menu. 5. Call us if FC E3 is still on the display, and mention the Wi-Fi timeout.
A weak signal or a router that is busy or off can time out the connection. Moving the router closer or adding an extender may help.
The clock may need setting again, but your recipes and cooking functions are not harmed. It is a safe step. A one-minute breaker off-and-on is harmless and does not delete the cooking functions.
Then the module or wiring may need a test. Call us for a written price before any work. Only a failed module needs a repair, and we confirm that before quoting.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
