Having both a grill and a griddle means two surfaces collecting grease beside the burners. Our first look goes to those two stations: igniter, flame and the heat pattern across the plate. We then test the four open burners and move on to the oven for ignition, sensor and door seal. If an oven or burner ever fills the room with a gas smell, leave and call the gas utility from outside.
