On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges with electronic oven control, such as the JES1750FS or JGRP430WP, Probe or Insert Probe appears because the control is looking for input from the meat probe and not finding it. Verify the meat probe is fully inserted in its jack, then insert the probe into the center of the thickest part of the food. With bone-in meat, keep the tip away from the bone.
1. Push the probe plug fully into the jack, using an oven mitt. 2. Insert the probe into the center of the thickest part of the food. 3. Keep the tip away from bone. 4. If the message stays with the probe seated, call us.
You chose a probe-based cycle, so the control looks for the meat probe signal. Without it, the message appears and the cycle will not proceed.
Into the center of the fleshy or thickest part of the food. With bone-in meat, keep the tip away from the bone, since contact can give poor cooking results.
The plug may not be seated fully or may be worn. Try again with an oven mitt, and if it persists call us to check the jack.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
