JennAir JMHF930RSS Convection Hood Microwave

The JMHF930RSS is a 30-inch stainless steel over-the-range hood combination with convection. It handles three jobs at once: microwave heating, convection baking and venting the cooktop below, so a lot of parts share a small cabinet over the range.
On a service visit, we check the vent first, because filters, blower and lights are used the most. We then test the door switches, the microwave heating and the convection fan and element separately. Convection can fail alone while the microwave still works, and we explain which parts are involved before you approve a price. A fan that runs but moves little air is often a loose blower wheel, and we check its set screw.
The quote is in writing, and repairs include a 30-day workmanship warranty.
They use separate heating parts. The convection element, fan or thermal protector may have failed. We test each, and we give you a price for only the part that is bad.
Hold a tissue near the vent while the fan runs. If it barely moves, clean the filters. If it is still weak, the blower or motor needs inspection.
Not the repair, but we handle it carefully. We cover the surface when removing the unit from the mounting plate, so the finish and nearby cabinets stay clean.
