On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges with electronic oven control, such as the JES1750FS or JDRP548W, this scrolling message appears when a problem is detected while you are programming a cook cycle. It tells you to follow the displayed directions: PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN or DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR. The cycle you were setting will not start until you do.
1. Read the scrolling message to see which instruction it gives. 2. If it says PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN, press Enter and set the cycle again. 3. If it says DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR, turn the range's breaker off for a minute and back on. 4. If the message returns on every setup, call us.
Whichever the display shows: PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN or DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR. Both aim to clear the problem detected while you were programming the cycle on the range.
Not necessarily. It means something was detected while you were programming. If the message clears and stays away on the next try, the oven is most likely fine.
Then the cause is still there. Write down what you were setting and call us so we can check the control and give you a written price.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
