JennAir built-in microwaves, microwave drawers and combination wall oven microwave sections, such as the JMC2430LL and JMC8130DDS, show F1 E0 when there may be a problem with the user interface (touchpad), the control, or the associated wiring. Owners see F1 E0 and the touchpad may not respond, or the cycle may stop at once. Try not to press the keys hard, since a worn pad only gets worse.
1. Dry the touchpad with a soft cloth. 2. Press Stop/Cancel. 3. Leave the breaker off for one minute, then switch it back on. 4. Try one gentle key press. 5. If F1 E0 shows again, book a visit and avoid pressing harder.
It is the keypad where you press keys. The control reads it, and if the signal is wrong or missing, the control reports F1 E0 rather than act on bad input.
It concerns the microwave side, but shared electronics can affect both. If the oven also errs, turn the breaker off and call us so we can check the whole unit.
Both mention the interface and the control. We test the same area for each, but the full list of suspect parts differs slightly, so the code tells us where to start.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
