JennAir JEC3536H Lustre Cooktop, Large 36-Inch Service

The JEC3536H is a 36-inch electric cooktop in the Lustre design line, and it is also sold as the JEC3536HB and JEC3536HS. Installed in a wide counter cutout, it covers more of the work surface than a 30-inch model, and the stainless trim ties it in with the appliances around it.
On a cooktop this size, owners usually spot problems at the pans: one ring that takes forever to boil, another that clicks on and off. We also see knobs that have been pushed in or pulled loose over time. The glass is generally the strongest part, but it can be chipped at the edge where it meets the trim.
Our approach is to find which element misbehaves, confirm the supply, and then test the element, switch and wiring one by one. We quote in writing first, and the repair has our 30-day workmanship warranty.
The rating plate shows the full number. The letters after H mark finish versions, and we use them to match trim and knobs. Elements and switches are normally shared.
A chip at the edge can grow, and liquid may reach the parts below. We inspect it, tell you if it is safe to keep using, and quote any replacement in writing.
Radiant elements cycle to hold a temperature, so some clicking is normal. If it is rapid or the pan never heats, the limiter or a loose connection may be the cause, and we test both.
