JennAir JICT730S Oblivion Induction Cooktop, Repair for 30-Inch

A 30-inch induction cooktop in black with stainless steel trim, the JICT730S is also sold as the JICT730SB and JICT730SS. It sits in the Oblivion line and drops into a standard counter cutout, usually with a cabinet below that has to let air circulate around the electronics.
Our approach is to start with the supply and the cooling, then work through each zone. If a zone fails, we try a known flat magnetic pan, test the coil and check the sensing. Any hairline crack in the glass is noted because liquid can reach the parts beneath it.
We give a written price before starting, and every repair comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty. Before we leave, we heat each zone once more so you can see it working normally.
Slightly off-center is fine, but a pan too small for the zone may not be detected. Use pans that cover most of the ring. Pans that cover most of the ring work best.
The control may be reacting to a spill on the panel, an overheated electronics area or no cookware. Clean the surface, check airflow and call us if it keeps happening.
Lift pans instead of sliding them, avoid dropping heavy lids and clean spills when the surface has cooled. Early attention to chips prevents cracks. Small chips are worth a look.
