JennAir JUCFP242H Undercounter Drawer Refrigerator

JennAir refrigerator

Most common issues on this model

  1. Drawer front out of alignment, straining the slides and seal
  2. Climate sensor trouble leaving the compartment too warm or too cold
  3. Control board confusion after the power drops out
  4. Compressor running more often as parts wear

The JUCFP242H is a 24-inch undercounter refrigerator and freezer with two drawers, usually tucked below a counter in a kitchen island, bar or butler’s pantry. It is sold in RISE, NOIR and stainless trims, and the cooling hardware inside is the same across all three.

Under a counter, heat is the main enemy. The condenser needs open airflow in front, so dust or a tight cabinet can make the compressor run longer and wear sooner. On a service call we clean the airflow path, then check that each drawer closes flat and the gasket seals evenly, because a drawer front on a slightly crooked slide lets warm air in. Sensors and the control board come next. Pricing is written before we begin, and our work carries a 30-day warranty.

JUCFP242HJUCFP242H questions
My undercounter drawers do not close flush. Is something broken?

Often a slide has shifted, or the drawer front is slightly out of alignment. We adjust the slide, check the gasket contact all the way around, and confirm the drawer closes fully and stays shut.

The compressor never seems to stop in my island. Why?

A compressor that runs constantly in an undercounter spot usually means restricted airflow or a dirty condenser. We clean and clear the path, then check the sensor and fan so it cycles normally again.

The drawer feels warm after a power cut. Is the board damaged?

It can be. Power interruptions sometimes confuse or damage the control board. We test the board and its sensor readings first, then give you a written price before replacing anything.
